Soaked Oats

Soaked oats are really popular at the moment, they're all over the internet. Here's my recipe for you. I have this twice a week when I've got early morning clients and need to eat on the move. I like it because I can take it straight out of the fridge throw it in my bag and get it down my neck when I have a gap between sessions. It's a bit like a pudding but packs a real nutritious punch. High in slow releasing carbohydrates with lots and lots of fibre and antioxidants. This will really set you up for the day. 

  • 60g of porridge oats
  • 2 tbsp of natural yoghurt
  • 100ml of milk (I use almond milk because Nadine makes me)
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 2 tsp of chia seeds
  • A big handful of berries (you can use frozen or fresh & any combo)
  • Crushed almonds to garnish

Mix it altogether in an air tight container then throw it in the fridge overnight. Don't forget to take a spoon with you.
